about

An album that compiles all previously released tracks by DPA - Deutsch-Polnische Aggression. They were active as a live session project around the core members Kai-Uwe Schmidt and Matthias Roenigh aka Motte or Dr. Motte who performed at various locations in West-Berlin during 1981 and 1982 before each moved on to other projects. Their work was released in 1981 on a limited edition C45 cassette on Graf Haufen Tapes and they appeared on a few compilation cassettes on said label.

Their music was always improvised and never sounded the same. Influences of blues and Krautrock merged with the experimental anything-goes sound of the West-Berlin Geniale Dilletanten scene and clear post-punk references. Esp. the sound of "Live In Spandau" and "Live In Flats" could be considered proto-trance and gives a hint of the trance sound that Dr. Motte later cultivated on his "Space Teddy" label - ...if you listen closely.

All tracks have been carefully re-mastered from the original master tapes.

This album is released in a numbered edition on pro-dubbed white C59 chrom cassettes on Mauerstadtmusik and Graf Haufen Tapes.
First print-run of 50 copies.
